The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Hi experts,

i have a table estimation_h which has additional fields like estimation_no,weightage,cost,start_date,end_date and days...
and results as

1,2.50,100,03/07/2006,07/07/2006,5
and 2,2.00,50,01/07/2006,07/07/2006,7
respectively...

the days column is the number of days between start and enddate....
and weightage is the cost per day...

i want a query which will give me a whole list of days between start and finish date...

Eg. start_date is 03/07/2006
end date is 07/07/2006

Date            Weightage  estimation_no
---------       ------------  -----------------
01/07/2006     0                    1
02/07/2006     0                    1
03/07/2006    2.50                 1
04/07/2006    2.50                 1
05/07/2006    2.50                 1
06/07/2006    2.50                 1
07/07/2006    2.50                 1
08/07/2006     0                       1
09/07/2006     0                       1
.
.
.
14/07/2006     0                       1
15/07/2006     0                       1
01/07/2006     2.00                    2
02/07/2006     2.00                    2
03/07/2006    2.00                    2
04/07/2006    2.00                    2
05/07/2006    2.00                    2
06/07/2006    2.00                    2
07/07/2006     2.00                    2
08/07/2006     0                       2
09/07/2006     0                       2
.
.
.
14/07/2006     0                       2
15/07/2006     0                       2

in my case ill take a MIN of start date and MAX of enddate from estimation_h... so in the above query it wud be 01/07/2006 to 15/07/2006

but i want weightage to be shown for the values which have it and other rows with date but 0 weightage...

hope im clear...

Cheers,
