SQL Mail xp_sendmail @recipients can we use outlook distribution list as a @recipients

SQL Mail is working for me now. I do have a question regarding parameter to xp_sendmail. Instead of defining multiple recepients one by one can we select a distribution list that was setup in the outlook. If so how, please tell it by example. Thank You.

If it is a Public Distribution list you should be able to just use MyDistributionListName@MyDomain.com in place of a recipient email address when you execute the code.

If it is a local distribution list then you will need to log in to the SQL Server as whatever user account the SQL Agent Service uses and configure the outlook account for that user to contain the distribution list and then execute as described above.

create in exchange server mailbox for NT group -
use it's email address
e.g.
yourgroupname@something.com

and use it in xp_sendmail
It will send email same way as
MS outlook to members
of the NT group:yourgroupname@something.com
