We have an HP Proliant DL560 with two 3.0 Dual Core Xeon Processors each Running a 1333 Bus, with 4 GB of RAM and SQL 2005 Standard installed on it. We also have a 3.0 Dual Core PC with 1 GB RAM, running Windows XP with the same exact installation of SQL 2005 Standard.
We Recovered the same database to both of the systems, and Proceded to run the exact same Query on each one.
The PC running Windows XP with a Single 3.0 DualCore Processor Runs the Query in only 30 Seconds, while the Server running Two Processors and 4GB RAM takes over 6 minutes to run the Query.
We have Wiped out the entire Server, starting with a clean install, and it made no difference at all.
Does anybody have any idea why this could be happening?
Thanks
Jeremiah
