Cant delete MDF and LDf files

We have a laptop that belogned to someone else. It has SQL Server 2000 on it.

In Microsoft Sql Server folder, under Data, I see ldf and mdf files. I want to delete one mdf and ldf but keep getting error that the file is in use. Looked at Enterprise Manager and the database is not there.

Tried to attached the mdf and then delete the database ..but got the same error. Rebooted the laptop, disconected it from the network and still the same error. Anyway to delete the mdf and ldf file?Start Free Trial
