Browse All Topicswe just virtualized our sql server development box and installed SQL Server 2005 standard edition. Previously we were running sql server 2000. We moved over all the databases and I setup the logins for the database...same as they were before.
I tried to run one of the apps and recieved the following error message:
Login failed for user 'login_name'. Reason: The password of the account must be changed.
so, I went to the security node and drilled down into the properties for that login. I tried to uncheck 'Enforce password policy' and 'Enforce password Expiration'.
Then I recieved this error:

I'm not sure what is going on? Something to do with user group policies on the box, maybe?? I'm not a network administration, so I'm randomly guessing?
Any help with this is appreciated.
