That's a good breakdown for general MMC problems. &nbsp;It was partially correct. &nbsp;I actually had to uninstall SQL 2000, then MANUALLY delete the files in the /binn directory. &nbsp;For some reason, they all remained. &nbsp;Then I reinstalled everything.<br />

Just uninstalling, or reinstalling did not work. &nbsp;Copying the MMC file from the CD also didn't work. &nbsp;

The instruction at "0x420941f2" referenced memory at "0x00000019". The memory could not be "read".

As far as I can tell, this ONLY happens when I right-click a database and select properties.

I've tried reinstalling client tools, and also copying the mmc file from the SQL disc.
