Browse All TopicsI am trying to install SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition (32 Bit) on a HP 6910p laptop with Windows XP SP2 installed. The installation continues as normal, prompts for the second install disk, and then at the end of the install, shows that MSXML6 setup failed and also Workstation Components, Books Online.. setup failed. An error screen comes up after you finish the installation stating that SQL Server has experienced an error and needs to close. At that point, program is not installed. Problem is specific to this model machine only.
