Trying to run a trigger from a vb app and getting error New transaction cannot enlist in  the specified transaction coordinator

Asked by running32 in MS SQL Server

I have a trigger which to run with a linked server.  On the Test SQL Server the trigger runs just fine but on the production server I am getter the error message New transaction cannot enlist in  the specified transaction coordinator.  I have read something about the MSDTC service not running, but it is running on the production server.  What else could I look for?   Thank you for your helpStart Free Trial
