The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Sub-select question

Hi Experts,
I have this "easy" problem that I just cannot figure out for some reason... I want to insert the highest value of the paid coulmn and the date of the paid into a temp table... I used max(paid) in my select

Insert into #T
Select cid, max(paid)
from table
where ...
group by cid
having sum(paid) > 0

I need to add a column into tmep table (date paid), the problem is if I add the date to my select/group by, then it will give me more than one results, and that won't work

I want to say ( i know it is wrong, but if you can add to below to fix this issue, please do)

Insert into #T
Select cid, max(paid), (select paid_date from table where paid = max(paid) <- I missing something here,
from table
where ...
group by cid
having sum(paid) > 0
