The CPU goes to 100% and stays there.
The same database and the related applications were working fine with 32 bit SQL Server with same amount of load.
The funny part is none of the database procedures show up with high cpu figures in the result of sp_who2.
The processes causing the high cpu are with spid < 50 - which means system processes.
The main culprits are...
RESOURCE MONITOR
LAZY WRITER
LOG WRITER
CHECKPOINT
BRKR EVENT HNDLR - high waittime
BRKR TASK - hign waittime
The system configuration is ...
Xeon 5140, 2.33, 2.43
RAM: 1 GB
OS: Win2k3, SP2
