SQL disk configuration  for a busy database server

I have a server which has 6 disks.for disks. I want (like all administrators) to get the maximuum i/o performance and i was wondering how i should configure the disks. The storage will be locally attached so there is a maximum of 6 slots avaailble
i.e
o/s - raid 1 mirror - 2 disks
logs - single disk
database - raid 5 - 3 disks

This leaves the logs with no redundancy for the logs,Should i put the logs on the same spindle as the O/S?
