Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. How to check system database is in which mode , like master, model or msdb ?

Windows client is get backing up via Netbackup 5.1 MP6, and backup is failing partially, I came to know because due to the system databases (master, model or msdb) failing the transaction log backup due to being in simple recovery mode, and we shuld NOT request that they be converted to full recovery mode, but rather have them excluded from the transaction log backup script.
So My question, how can i check what mode system databases is ? what command it is? I can't find any logs are there to look in it.
Client is backing up .bch script to back database.
