I always convert the date to string "dd MMM yyyy" or "dd MMM yyyy HH:mm:ss" if you need the time
In C# you do something like this
string query = "update table set ExpirationDate='" + EndDate.ToString("dd MMM yyyy") + "' where active=1";
I'm not sure in VB, it should be similar
