Execute Stored Proc Results into Variable

Hi,

I have a stored proc.  How can I store the results inside a variable so i can then execute selects against it?

it depends on what exactly you need...
if you can transform the procedure into a function, it will be easy.
if you cannot, it will be tricky (apart from saving the results into a temp table).

temp table sounds fine.  Could you show me that way pls.  And also any syntax I need in order to drop the temp table after use.  Cheers

sorry, wrong way (my fault), and you have to create the temp table first:

create table #temptable ( ... column definitions here ... )
 
insert into  #temptable
exec yourproc ..
 
select * from #temptable
 
drop table #temptable
