Browse All TopicsHey Folks:
I need to set up a (conceptually) two level hierarchy. But the second level of the hierarchy is a Type 2 slowly changing dimension. If I set it up as a two level, and do an analysis based on ALLMEMBERS - I get two (or more) rows if the dimension changed within the time period I am analyzing. I only want one row.
Any idea how to get around this? Is there a function other then ALLMEMBERS I shoudl be using? Should I set the hierarchy up three tiered - with the alternate id (it never changes) as a second level - between the two?
Any advice will be appreciated.

Hi,
As I understand it, with type2 you will get multiple rows. Otherwise make this dimension a type 1 and get one row.
Cheers
