Asked by iamgam in MS SharePoint, MS SQL Server
Hi,
I was wondering if there was a way to replace every occurrence of a string within the content of a site (probably not within documents 'tho) with another? I'm thinking of things like (list) titles and descriptions. I can see how this is possible by using cursor(s) within the content database, but is there a more graceful way? There seems to be nothing available at the gui level, which, for what is at least partially a CMS, is pretty poor.
If this isn't really possible, can anyone advise what we should tell our users who want to do this sort of thing on their (quite large) sites?
