VBA Macros in Word Document that is stored in MS SQL disappear

Asked by olio in SQL Server 2005, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Visual Basic.Net

Following scenario:
There is a Word Document that contains macros that are run on the MailMerge.AfterRecordMerge Event

This word document is stored in a SQL database from a vb.net application.

When the word document is opened (from SQL) and the mail merge is initialized (from vb.net) the macros are not run.

Any idea?
