SQL 2005 - Maintenance Plan to Truncate Transaction Log file to 5 GB

I would like ot know how to setup the SQL 2005 - Maintenance Plan to Truncate Transaction Log file to 5 GB. Our DB is not a Transactional DB so I have set the DB to only grow to 5 GB. My question is, if this is set, do I need to setup anything in the Maintenance Plan to keep it from going over 5 GB. Someone mentioned that to me but it doesn't make sense. I would think if the Log file isn't set to Unrestricted Growth, that once it reached the 5 GB limit, it would just purge old Log file data.
If I'm incorrect in my thinking could someone please tell me what I need to do.
Finally this DB should not grow any larger than 15 GB, if that. We also have 80 GB free to give it some breathing room.

Thank you,
