The COMMIT TRANSACTION request has no corresponding BEGIN TRANSACTION using SSIS

I have an Execute SQL task first and the query is Begin Transaction. I then have a dataflow that uses a Flat File Source, goes through a Derived Column transform, and loads into a table. After the dataflow I have another Execute SQL task and the query is Commit Transaction. The two Execute sql tasks use the same connection manager as well as the ole db task in the data flow. Why do I get the error:
The COMMIT TRANSACTION request has no corresponding BEGIN TRANSACTION.
