Can't open connection to SQL Express running on local domain box.

Asked by zorvek in SQL Server 2005

Windows XP SP2 on domain. SQL Express 2005. Named pipes and TCP/IP enabled. Services running under Local System.

I am getting the error "Cannot generate SSPI context" when opening a ADO connection with SSPI.

I can get the same ADO code to work on a workgroup Windows XP box with everything else equal.

Is there a way to set the security "mixed mode" option on in SQL Express? Do I have to install SQL Server Developer?
