Insert datetime text string into datetime column

How do I insert datetime text string into datetime column? I've done the following:
SELECT CONVERT(datetime,'select convert(datetime,convert(varchar(20),enter_time,106)) from access_log', 105 )+ convert(varchar(30),'select convert(datetime,convert(varchar(20),enter_time,108)) from access_log' , 8)

But I got the following error:
Conversion failed when converting datetime from character string.
