I am a newbie to web-based databases. I have a SQL 2005 server and I need to develop a web-based intranet solution that can house database for the company to search, sort of a knowledge-base. I need basically a form that some people will be responsible for data entry while most will only be searching. Some of the data for the fields will need to be combo boxes which I will need to get the data from some of the SQL tables. What is the best package to develop this in, I was playing around with MS Visual Studio 2008 (downloaded the 90 day trial) but found it way too complicated and limiting. I currently have this project developed in MS Access and would like to retain the same look, feel and flexibility in the form layout that I currently have. Any suggestion would be great appreciated. PS: Cost of software will be a factor also.... I will have about 150 users hitting this database but only 1-5 simultaneously.
