Asked by motioneye in SQL Server 2005

dbcc memorystatus show me below info, which committed and target are getting the same value

Buffer Counts                  Buffers
------------------------------ --------------------
Committed                      871224
Target                         871224
Hashed                         772616
Stolen Potential               238091
External Reservation           0
Min Free                       256
Visible                        324096
Available Paging File          789414

and boot.ini has a value as below

[boot loader]
timeout=5
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT="Windows Server 2003, Enterprise" /fastdetect /PAE /3GB
C:\CMDCONS\BOOTSECT.DAT="Microsoft Windows Recovery Console" /cmdcons

Is this hence that my sql server was configured max to use only this much of ram Target = 871224? can it go larger since I have put 8.5GB of physical ram hereStart Free Trial
