MS SQL Server 2005 client databases LDF files are too large - Want to shrink after differential backup.

Hi,

I have one specific client database that is growing very rapidly and the LDF file is taking up more than half a TB. I have maintenance plans running differential backups from Monday to Saturday and a full backup every Sunday night - Is it okay to run a shrink job after a differential backup, or should I only run this after a full backup?

I wouldn't usually be in a hurry to run a shrink job only that our backup tape has run out of space, so I have to resolve the issue today if possible,
