how to remove a database instance that doesn't show up in enterprise manager

I have a back up exec database that show's up on the hard drive but isn't in add remove programs but when I try to install backup exec, the software failes to connect to the database or create a new instance  because it already esists.  I also searched the sysdatabase and there isn't an instance of bkupexec database there either

This office uses SQL Server 2005 for their enterprise application so it's not like I can uninstall and reinstall SQL Server 2005.  Any back door ways to resolve this issue?Start Free Trial
