The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Query running slow for dates after 8/15

Hello all,
I have a query that takes about 15 seconds to execute for dates up to 8/15 and about 75 seconds for dates after 8/15.  All dates return roughly the same number of rows.  I manually rebuilt the indexes on 8/15.  Before I did so, the threshold between fast and slow execution was on a different date.  I get a different execution plan for dates before and after the threshold.  I suspected that the optimizer did not have good statistics for recently imported data, so I turned on Auto Create Statistics, Auto Update Statistics and Auto Update Statistics Asynchronously after I rebuilt the indexes.  However, it appears that statistics are not being updated as the optimizer is still choosing a bad execution plan for dates after that last index rebuild.

Any ideas?
