The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Custom Code for relating data

Hi,

I have problem that I am out of my depth on with relating data. The problem is this.

I have a table that contains stocked products (Stock Table) and the Quantity of each product. The table contains a Style #, Style Size Code and many of Quantity fields. The products that this table contains are clothing items.

eg: Style #   Style Size Code Qty1  Qty2  Qty3  Qty4  Qty5  Qty6  Qty7  Qty8
       ABC1         @6-14             0        0        1       0        0        0       0        0
       ABC2         @7-13             1        0        0       0        0        0       0        0

Each Qty field represents a Quantity of a particular size. The Style Size Code refers to another field in a second table (Size Grid).

The Size Grid table looks like the following:

       Style Size Code     Size1   Size2  Size3   Size4  Size5  Size 6  Size7  Size8
         @6-14                     6         8         10        12        14
         @7-13                     7         9         11        13

I need to be able to create a Summary table of Style by Quantity by Size. I the above example product ABC1 has a Quantity of 1 however the Qty field that 1 is listed in is Qty3 which should somehow relate to a Size 10 from the Size3 field in the Size Grid.

Likewise ABC2 has a Quantity of 1 which is listed in the Qty1 field of the Stock Table. Qty1 somehow relates to the Size1 field in the Stock Grid table which is a Size 7.

I have no idea on how to relate the two tables and then to show in my query each Style by Quantity by Size. Help Please!

Thanks
