Question

T-SQL script to replace characters in a variable length string

I need to keep 4 characters in a  varchar   (max 20) and replace the rest with asterisks.  Experimented with replace and substring but haven't been able to get it.  Thanks!

This may not be an effecient one. But it will give you the result.
