SQL 2005 Logshipping from a Cluster to a workgroup

Hello,

I am wondering if it is possible to setup log shipping between a Windows 2008 Cluster and a remote 2003 server that is only a member of a workgroup. The Cluster is the primary server and the workgroup server is the target server. I have set up a VPN between them. All servers are using SQL 2005.

 Specifically the problem I am having is setting the permissions so that the SQL Agent account on the remote server can access the ShippingLogOut folder on the Cluster and visa versa.  Since the remote server is not a member of a domain I cannot set up a Trust Relationship between the two.  Also since the Primary server is clustered, I do not think pass-through authentication is an option. (Though I did try setting up an identical user account for the SQL Agent with identical passwords and appropriate permissions on all the servers and was able to authenticate through from the cluster to the workgroup server, it did not work from the workgroup server to the cluster.)  I am starting to wonder if log shipping is possible with this configuration. If anyone knows of anyway to set this up it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for that.

 In the first link you sent me, under the Domain Account section it says:
"You must use a domain account if you are going to configure SQL Server to run as a Virtual server under Windows Clustering." but it also says "you may not be able to start SQL under a domain account if SQL Server resides on a server that is in a workgroup".  

Since these staements are mutually exclusive in my situation, given that I have both a Windows cluster AND workgroup computer that I am trying to replicate between, does that mean that what I am trying to do cannot be done?

The problem I continued to have when setting up Logshipping was failure due to authentication - "access denied".  Once I setup the database by hand on the remote server and restored a backup from the local server to it, I then was able to successfully set up Logshipping using the No, the secondary database is initialized" option under the Initialize Secondary Databse Tab of the setup wizard.
