Get one instance of record in query
A student's demographic table is joined to a discipline table via a studentid. The student may have committed an assualt 1 time, but the discipilne record will have 3 entries for the same offense because the offense has a different disposition code attached to it. I need to extract 1 record of the student's name, offense and discid in order to count unique instances of that offense throughout the school district. THANK YOU.
