seems like you are connecting to the wrong instance (the one above is for the sql server 2000 ) , you should connect to the sql server 2005 edition

I opened SQL Server 2005 and ran SELECT @@Version in New Query window and got the following result - "Microsoft SQL Server 2000 - 8.00.760 (Intel X86) Dec 17 2002 14:22:05 Copyright (c) 1988-2003 Microsoft Corporation Standard Edition on Windows NT 5.2 (Build 3790: Service Pack 2) "
While I know I have SQL Server 2005 and Service Pack 3 installed. What does that mean?

and you will see:
SQL Server 2000 SP3 2000.80.760.0
so, indeed, SP3 is applied
