I have a table A with columns named id and date.. i need to
update this column as the min(date) from another
table B..i tried the below code but it is giving me an
error.. can any body give me the right code on how to update
my date column ? Many Thanks
update tableA
set secondorderdate= (select min(b.order_date)
from tableA a
inner join tableB b
on a.ID=b.ID
group by a.ID)
Error - Subquery returned more than 1 value.
This is not permitted when the subquery follows =, !=, <, <= , >, >= or when the subquery is used as an expression.
