We receive a data load from an i5 into our SQL Server. When this occurs a particular field, the itemnk field, gets formatted somehow and drops any leading zeros bringing the six digit itemnk down to a 5 digit itemnk field. I'm able to re-add the leading zeros within excel by using a formatting feature, however I'm desiring a way to do this before it's loaded to excel. So when LENGH(ITEMNK) = 4 then add a zero ELSE ITEMNK?? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Itemnk (int, not null)
Since our last digit is a check digit within itemnk, I'm utilizing a hyphen to separate it as desired by our users so I'll need to keep the hyphen.
left(di.itemnk,5) + '-' + right(di.itemnk,1)
