Question

Problem with xml query on xml variable

I'm researching a problem that I can't test for myself right now.  A customer is saying that when he uses the attached code, he gets nothing, but when he gets rid of the header part (as shown) he gets a result.

A workaround is to just do the string manipulation, but I'd like to advise him about to do about the xmlns stuff.

SQL Server 2005 (or maybe 2008... sorry, I'm not sure)

You have to declare xml namespaces that appear in the document:
