Reports page for SQL will not open in IE

Asked by rdefino in SQL Server 2005, Microsoft IIS Web Server

Tags: sql

I have a 2003 system running sql 2005 with IIS. I ave loaded the reporting services for SQL. Now this system is in a domain. I have created an account in the domain with global domain admins. this account was used to install SQL and I have logged into the 2003 system with it. When I try to IE to open the reporting page it constantly asks for a login account. I enter in the global domain account and password, but it won't take it.

I tried open the reporting page using:
http://localhost/reports
http://<servername>/reports

I get the same prompt for user name and password.

I'm lost on what's causing it.
