Browse All TopicsI am testing maitenance plan on SQL server 2008 that also includes backup. It fails with the following message: "BACKUP failed to complete the command BACKUP DATABASE dbase1. Check the backup application log for detailed messages." (Event ID: 3041)

you can look in two areas...you can look in the application log. (right click my comptuer and go to manage) or you can look at the job properties under the sql agent folder.
