I am trying to set up MS SQL Replication between "Server" and "Lap2" (laptop) In MS SQL, Server will not connect to Lap2 using the laptop name which is "lap2" I can ping either way using tcpip or the server names. Named Pipes is turned to on for both Server and lap2. Using the SQL Management Studio, I can connect to the lap2 database using the tcpip but not lap2. However, when I try to connect using the browser, I see lap2 in the list of servers but it won't let me connect. ????? Any suggestions will be appreciated.
