SSIS 2008 double quotes
I'm having issues in SSIS 2008. I'm converting a old DTS package to a SSIS package from scratch and the flat file contains double quotes with in each other. In DTS it worked just fine, but SSIS I have come to the conclusion cannot handle it. Is there a way to have SSIS look thru the .csv file and replace all " with a space before it inserts into the table?
In the Text Qualifier field (1st step of the Import process), enter " (double quotes)

already tried and not working, so now I just need a way to replace them in the .csv file first
Yep. You need a "preprocess" task. Simon Sabin had written one at one time.
I wonder how the ODBC text driver behaves.

Who is Simon Sabin?

Well googled him but still can't find any "preproccess" to help this. Do you have link to the process he made?

As per the EE Guidelines, please offer an explanation as to why you awarded a "C" grade.

That was not the answer to the question but on that site I ended up finding another page that sent me in another direction.
Of course it did. I clearly stated that. However, it is your responsibility to allow me to point that out before you award a "C".
Anyhow, "thanks" for the grade, and I will keep that in mind next time you need help. What goes around comes around ...

Wow, don't get offended so easily. This question was no longer relevant and that is why I did not keep pursuing it. Your link wasn't even close to anything I asked the question about, but I looked around on that website to find another unrelated solution. I closed it out so that since you helped you would receive some points as I appreciated your help, but please don't have a negative attitude because I didn't give you 100% of points for you not answering my question.

Please take the time to re-read my comments. I never said that. I merely asked you to comply with EE Guidelines, which you had failed to do and refused to even recognize that you had.
In any case, this thread has already taken up way too much time and space.
I wish you the best of luck.
