Access Subform Filter Unavailable

Does anyone know why I am unable to filter on a bit field type in Access????  See the attached screenshot.  All the other fields will let me filter as normal but Filters menu item is noticeably missing for this field.

check the allow filters properties and set it to yes

I can't believe MS won't let you filter by clicking the filter arrow... sheesh... thanks!

    That's because that is a "Sort Direction" arrow, ...not a Filter arrow...
