What is the column limit in MS Access 2003-2007

I have a DB I am importing and apparently the error I am getting is
"The number of values exceeds the column limit in Access" that is the error that I understand is my problem. Not what Access is reporting as an error.

What is the limit and do I have any way of adjusting that in Access?Start Free Trial
