The windows logs reported Outlook 2007 detected a catalog checkpoint. Everything seems to be working fine, but I would like to find out what the problem is.

Are you running any add-ins for Outlook, this is quite a common occurence when an add-in keeps Outlook open after you've closed it causing the data file to forcibly shutdown while it's open when you reboot or log off, giving you this error. Trying running Outlook.exe from the command line with /safe after it, this will make Outlook open in safe mode with no add-ins and see if the error repeats itself.
