This goes hand in hand with what I mentioned in your other very similar question.
Is your question regarding your development machine, or the Clients machine, or both?
Will you or the client always have office installed?
The Runtime is the basically the Main Access application with the Design featured disabled, so if the Runtime is installed for the same version of Office that is installed, it should use the Shared dictionary, meaning that any changes will be global, or "a part of my machine" as you say.

I've edited my spellcheck code to include the character which didn't appear in my question above.
For those of you wandering, type "dont" without the apostrophe and press space. Access will auto correct with a curly one.
Any knowledge at all about the access runtime version and auto correct?
