Input Mask help Access ADP

I have and Access 2003 ADP/SQl 2005. I have a lot of phone numbers in the database with no charachters, simply 10 digits. I want them to show up in the tables and forms as (123) 456-7890 i have looked at imput masks but it seems that the input mask only shows the formatting when adding a new phone number and does not list the data in the format of a telephone number. I'm sure this might be something easy that I'm overlooking.
