Can Grow/Can Shrink field in continuous subform

Hi :)

I know this has been asked before, but I've been unable to find a satisfactory answer.  I have a subform viewed as Continuous.  The subform contains a memo field.  I need the field to grow and shrink based on its contents.  The subform is read-only, but the main form is editable.  Pop-up's etc. will not work in this case - the object is to be able to scroll through all entries using a single scroll bar.  One final quirk, this form is refreshed or requeried several times per minute, so any solution must not result in a "go to the first record" each time it is run.

A coded solution or a way to insert a sub-report in a form would be great!
