Clean/Strip out special characters from a Memo field

Hi all,

I have a memo field that gets populated from imported Word Documents. I would like a way to strip out the special characters from the Memo field - ie Carriage Returns, Tab Mark etc. and maybe just leave a "space" in place of the character.

Is there away to to do this using VBA in Access?
