Connecting Access & Outlook (capturing send event)

I'll be using MS-Access to create a new record in a database, before the record is created it will need to generate a standard e-mail (template) with the To and CC fields BLANK. When the user enters the To and CC fields then Sends the e-mail, I'll need to capture the recipient information back in Access, then save the record.

Unfortunately importing the Outlook address book into Access is not an option, as the company has over 40,000 addresses in there---and it changes daily. The user needs full access to the Outlook address book details to ensure the e-mail wil be sent ot the intended recpient.

Note I'm not very familiar with using Access at this point, I'm still reading tutorials and manuals... so please excuse my ignorance with this subject.

Thank you very much for seeing me through this.

So it looks like my solution is this:

1) Keep a linked table to Outlook Global Address Book
2) Run a macro whenever Access starts to see if the local Outlook Address Book is up to date.
3) If the Contacts are outdated, then run a Make-Table SQL Query to make a local copy of the linked table.
