How to check Network connection with VBA

Asked by Ozhee in Access Coding/Macros, Microsoft Access Database

Dear Experts,

Currently i'm developing an access database that connect to sql server. i just want to have the code to alert the user to connect to the lan  if they are not connected to the lan.
before connection to the server is made, there should be a function for checking whether the computer is connected to the network or not.
so if the checking result no connection the code should give an alert message saying "Dear User, it seems you have not connected to the network yet. please connect to the network first before continue"

Please advice for this,

rgds,
