How can I create dynamic charts in Excel?

I would like to be able to create charts on the fly in Excel. The data is in an Access database.

I would like to be able to select a variable from the database, provide binning values, return the target variable(s) by bin and chart.

e.g. I have an AGE variable with values from 16 to 99
I would like to see the target variable in the following groupings 16-20, 21-25, 26-30, 31+
The endpoints of each range (i.e. 20, 25, 30, etc.) will be provided by the user.
Perhaps after seeing the chart, the user would like to refine the groupings to the following:
       16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21-25, 26-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61+

Any thoughts or suggestions on how this can be done interactively and 'on the fly' are greatly appreciated?Start Free Trial
