The Command or Action AddfromOutlook isn't available now
I want to import all my contacts into a database table withiut teh need to select individual records.
I tried to use the command :
DoCmd.RunCommand acCmdAddFromOutlook
But I get the error above "The Command or Action AddfromOutlook isn't available now"
Does anyone know where there is any documentation for this command?
I have tried to figure it out using the contacts template from MS but not much use as that uses a screen and you have to select the contacts. http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/TC012253431033.aspx?CategoryID=CT101428511033
The start up form for this database has a link which runs on the on click event an Embedded Macro as per the screen print attached - 2007.jpg. The design of the form referenced in the macro is also attached as a screen print.
There arew no errors using this contacts database.
Thanks Lou

Hello Jeff - see my reply to your suggestion on my related question. I have discovered that the linked data does not contain the categories field which is what I am after. It is there in the exprted data though.
I wanted the process to be as automatic as possible which is why I was looking at the link. In the absence of that I am now look at automating the export from Outlook to an mdb file which I can then link to.
Thanks Lou

Yes I supppose so - at least as far as this question is concerned. I will close. Still working on automating the link from Outlook - expect more questions!
Thanks for your comments.

Does this data need to be "Imported" (Static), or can it be "Linked"(synchronized with Outlook)?
To Import or Link:
Click: External Data-->More-->Outlook Folder
... and simply follow the prompts.
