MS Access VBA Sub thwoing compile error

I have a sub I've been working with
Public Sub Validation_ProcessValidations(TableName As String)

Works fine until I add this
Public Sub Validation_ProcessValidations(TableName As String, ClearErrors As Boolean)

I now get a compile error - Noet sure whats causing this.  FYI - there is nothing yet in the code that users ClearErrors

No problem here.

If you have code that calls the current sub with one parameter then defining a second parameter and compiling, before you have adjusted the calls , will give you compilation errors for all the calls to the sub.

right now I'm only calling it from the immeidate window.

In the immediate window, to call a procedure you do either:

Validation_ProcessValidations "tablename", True

(note there are no brackets)

OR

?Validation_ProcessValidations("TableName", True)

(with brackets)

thats it.  I wonder why it didn't fail until after I added the additional param?  I had been running it like this with no problems
